Initiative ready to gather signatures

Initiative Measure No. 1873 concerning judicial reporting of child abuse or neglect is ready to gather signatures. The challenge begins to get enough signatures by the deadline, but the reward for protecting children from child abuse is more than worth it.

The following is the official concise description provided by the Secretary of State of Washington. "This measure would require that judges presiding over legal proceedings report to law enforcement or the appropriate agency if they have reasonable cause to believe that a child has suffered abuse or neglect."
