I wish to thank every one signed who reached out or signed my initiative to create a law that requires Washington State judges to report child abuse. Due unfortunately to COVID-19 hitting in early March, I was unable to get enough signatures for this initiative to get on the November ballot.
I thank everyone for their support and vow to try again next year.
I believe we need send a message to judges in this state who are supposed to be operating in the best interest of the child, to actually do so. Child abuse should always be reported and investigated by the department created by tax payers to do exactly that; Child Protective Services (CPS). Child abuse investigations should not be subject to if you have the most expensive lawyer, which sadly is how courts seem to work these days; but investigated honestly and without bias, which is exactly what CPS does.
